as i sit here addressing my xmas cards for this year and think of all the people who have helped me on my jouney this past 7 years and especially the past 3, i thought i would post a thread letting people who knew me know how i am and what i have been up to this past year.. .
it will soon be 2 years since i moved from florida to atlanta, ga. even though it was going back to full time work, i love my job and am glad i have one.. .

i was watching it-i know she likes obama and all, but she said something that struck me as insulting to the obama family as well as all the americans who voted for them.
it was something to the effect that "look at that beautiful perfect family-if they weren't so beautiful, so educated, smooth, well spoken, so well dressed etc etc, there is no way he would ever have been elected.
i didn't even vote for obama and that just struck me as racist.

As to the original post, I agree with LDH. Maybe that was Joy's roundabout way of acknowledging that if Obama preached abstinence and yet had a pregnant 17-year-old daughter, he would never have been nominated, let alone have won the Presidency. He and his family had to be pitch perfect in order to achieve this outcome.
